Hello again Cascade Lake paddlers,
This will be my last post (also sent as an email) before the first trip on Tuesday (unless something comes up). Our weather looks nice. Highs in the low 70s at the lakes and in the low 80s in Bend. Water temperatures are still cold! These lakes are snow-melt, and the snow melted fairly recently. Please bring various immersion-wear options. My cell number is 503-510-2005. It seems it would work at Sparks and Hosmer, as it’s so close to Mt. Bachelor, but I don’t know for sure.
PARTY TIME! Everyone is invited to our Tuesday (potluck night) and Wednesday evening (your own meal or maybe some potluck leftovers) get-togethers:
Home of Ames Hendrickson and Patty Fernald, 61867 Somerset Drive, Bend 97702.

Paulina Lake is located within the caldera of Newberry Volcano. This lake relies on rain, snowmelt, and hot springs for water. The boat ramp is on the southwest side of Paulina Lake and within a campground. It also features docks and a fish cleaning station. Flush toilets at the Day Use Area. Parking at this site requires a recreation pass. Passes are NOT available at the Boating Site, but can be purchased at the nearby Paulina Visitor Center. http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/deschutes/recarea/?recid=71997
Day 4: Deschutes or Crane Prairie. Announcements may be made regarding the Day 4 trips at the previous days’ trips. The Deschutes River trip may use a different launch or take-out location.
See you in a few days!
