Membership Summary

These are some of the things you get with your membership:

• OOPS members may sign up for club classes. Many are free. This is a great deal!
• OOPS members may sign up for club trips, most of which are open to members only.
• OOPS Members can be reimbursed for participating in a qualifying class taught or sponsored by OOPS-affiliated retailers/ outfitters.
  
• Members may check out print kayaking resources from the OOPS library.
• Members receive discounts at Affiliated Retailers
• Members are subscribed to the club email list. This list is used to organize informal trips.
• Members support the operations of OOPS.

OOPS is open to paddlers of all levels.  If this sounds like the right club for you, please join our club!

Membership Details

New Member Packet
Take a look at the new member packet (PDF, Word).  The packet includes information regarding this website, joining paddles and events, the OOPS list serve, understanding trip difficulty ratings, safety requirements, wet exit certification, paddling etiquette, and more.   All this information can also be found in the Member FAQs.

Join A Trip Or Activity And Have Fun!

See the Calendar for trips, classes, annual events, and monthly meetings.  You are also welcome to suggest ideas for trips or classes to our Trips and Education coordinators, respectively

Connect With Members Via The Listserv and Facebook

We use Google Groups to connect and share via e-mail (e.g., off-calendar trips, equipment suggestions, recent hot topics, etc).   Members who wish to join the Listserv or correct their information should contact the Listserv Administrator.

Manage Your Membership Information

Did you move, change your phone number, add a family member, or use a new-email address?  No problem - you have complete control over your membership information at any time, including the privacy of all your information.  Just log in and edit our profile (found by clicking on your name in the upper right) to make any needed changes.

Use The Directory To Connect With Members

When you are logged in, you can use the member directory to see the information other members want to make visible to you.  This can be useful, for example, if you are looking to carpool with someone who lives nearby.  If they don't make their e-mail visible to you, no problem - click on their name and if you see a "Send Message" button visible, you can contact them using the form that pops up.
