Public welcome!  We regularly host a featured presenter at our meetings -- check the calendar to see who this month.  Presentation topics include rare Inuit cultural films, navigation, photo travelogs of special expeditions, kayak sailing, weather science, etc.  Normally, a portion of our library books & videos are brought as well.  Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month, except in November (when it is earlier to avoid a conflict with the Thanksgiving Holiday) and in December (when there is no general meeting).

Annual Open House Event

The January general meeting we call an Annual Open House Event, and hold it at a larger venue.  On this day we host kayak-related vendors, non-profits, the Coast Guard, and others.  There is a raffle, also numerous tables where members set up displays with photos and trip guidance for good local (and not so local) trips.
