    This trip was cancelled because, from what we could ascertain, the road conditions to and from the launch site on Puget Island were excessively dangerous due to this week's ice and snow storm..  Rather than put our group and ourselves at risk, we chose to not go out today.  We will plan to reschedule the trip later in the year.

    Please join us, Dick & Karen, as we head out for one of our favorite paddles. We'll launch from the small park near the ferry terminal on the SE of the island and do a clockwise paddle around Puget Island. There will likely be some current to play in as well as some quieter waters where we can play with our strokes and just enjoy the quiet. A variety of seabirds and maybe a seal or sea lion might be found along the way.
