    Chris Mayou has already said this, but I wanted to put it in a thread of it's own.

    For those going to the Salt Spring Island event, you should know that Transport Canada requires in their SMALL VESSEL REGULATIONS, that in order to abide by the regulations, you should keep the following equipment on board:  for boats 6 metres long and less, a buoyant heaving line at least 15 metres long (floating throwline or throwbag).

    Fifteen meters is 49.2126 feet.
