Here is a brief description of the paddle:

Come join this paddle launching from Rogers Landing in Newberg and taking out at Boones Ferry Marina in Wilsonville. It’s about 12 current assisted miles; the speed of the current and CFS is going to be dependent on how much rain we get next week. Currently it is about 25,000 CFS and 1.5 MPH. I have been on the Willamette when the level was 86,000 and that can be an interesting ride.  Since we are predicted to have a few wet days coming up, it should be somewhat higher than current levels but not too bad. We will plan on meeting at Rogers Landing at 10AM, then shuttle some vehicles to Boones Ferry Marina. We should be able to launch by 11AM. Total trip time should be in the 3-4 hour range depending on the current that day. Done this paddle a few times in both summer and winter, not much boat traffic on the water this time of the year. Calling this a Level 2 paddle because of the distance and the potential for some moderate eddies and current.
