I just received an email from “Monte” (Monte, I know it wasn’t really you) asking me for a favor.  I replied that I would be happy to help him.  The next email from “Monte” asked me to pick up an Apple gift card for him and he’d pay me back when he got back in town.  
This is not an uncommon scam, but it looks nearly legit as it looks like it comes from the OOPS listserv.  Watch out for this!
