I joined about a month ago. I am a retired electrical engineer, and have been sailing sailboats for five decades. Having said that, I am new to kayaks. I took a class in early January, liked it, and purchased a kayak and some gear a few weeks later. I did get wet exit certified, but I still and quite new. So far I have been doing a few short trips on the Willamette just to continue my learning curve, and have been looking at ways to focus my workout routine on better fitness specific to kayaks.
I'm keen to see everyone on the water and would love suggestions on how best to ramp up the learning curve.
