Full Name::
Steve Pruett
Narrative::
We are meeting up at the Lake River Ridgefield Kayak Lauch,
109 W. Division St
, Ridgefield, WA. At 10am, launching at 10:30.
We will head downriver on Lake River, take a left into Bachelor Slough, head west at the Columbia and then stop for lunch at the end of Bachelor Island where Lake River comes in. Return trip is up lake river to where we put in.
This is a beautiful paddle around the island and next to Ridgefield Wildlife refuge. We should be seeing Eagles, seals and other birds. We can also check out the line of Bird Houses in Lake River, some very creative artists built hand made bird houses.
Bring a lunch, water, sunscreen, all the usual items. I am getting re-certified to be a TO, so you can laugh at me when I do a self rescue. I will also need to tow someone for a bit, so some will get a small break from padding.
