Full Name:: Brenda C Brewer
Narrative:: North Beach is small, with a tiny parking lot - so we will put in early at North Beach, and head Left, enjoying the cool morning air, to Point Doughty, about 2 miles away. From there, we might land, secure our boats, and hike up - if it's clear, the view is amazing! Once we hike back down, or if we skip the the hike altogether, we then will decide if we want to head on back to North Beach, making. this a shorter paddle, or continue on down to West Beach, where I hear there is rumor of ice cream to be had at West Beach Resort. If the conditions are less than congenial, we can make this a shorter trip - if it's a lovely day, we may go on down to West Beach. If we only paddle to Point Doughty and back, it's about 5-6 miles round trip plus a possible hike. If we go on down to West Beach and back it's about 10 miles (plus a possible hike). As this will be our third day paddling, we will be mindful of our energy when deciding how far to go. We should have some mild current assist coming back.

Please bring a hat, sun screen, water, a radio, a tow belt, water, and sufficient snacks for a multi-mile trip. While we won't be making any crossings, we will be paddling in open water, so a minimum of 14' boat, with hatches and bulkheads is required.
