Narrative:: Launch from the beach at Four Winds Camp. Paddle south past Double Island and Algeria Island, and Caldwell Point. Continue on past Bell Island where we will pick up the current in our favor (about 1.6 kt) as we enter Wasp Passage. We’ll turn NW as we pass Crane Island and continue NW between McConnell Island and Reef Island. As we approach Steep Point we’ll cross over to the southeast corner of Jones Island for a lunch break on its southern shore. Our return will take us N of Reef Island and Crane Island then head through Pole Pass then to Caldwell Point where we turn N into West Sound and continue N to Four Winds Camp. The current will be in our favor in the morning. Slack current at Wasp Passage is at 1:00pm The distance covered will total approx. 10-11 miles.
