Narrative:: Succia is a lovely island, due North of Orcas. We will need a very early start, both to avoid afternoon winds, and also to hopefully be able to park at North Beach. Once we launch, we will do a 2-mile crossing to Fossil Bay, with a predicted 1.1 knot west-to-east current. From there, we will noodle around and up into Echo Bay, taking a break at the Campground Beach for refreshments. While there, we will check in with the group's energy levels and the conditions, to determine if we want to circumnavigate or head back. If we continue on, we will round the East end of Succia, admiring the many rocks, and head along the Northern side, being mindful of the seals and other sealife, and head to Shallow Bay. There we will take another break before heading rounding the Western end of Succia and crossing back to North Beach, with a 0.8 knot current, again running west-to-east.
