Full Name:: Lori Stole
Narrative:: We’ll explore the sloughs at the south end of Tillamook Bay, starting from Sue H Elmore Park in historic downtown Tillamook. First we’ll paddle up Hoquarton Slough to its end. Then we’ll paddle down Hoquarton Slough to the Trask River, following the waterway by which the city of Tillamook received its supplies by ship in its early days. Next, the Trask and Tillamook Rivers allow us to make a loop out to Memaloose Point Boat Launch at the south end of Tillamook Bay. Completing the loop, we’ll then retrace our route up the Hoquarton Slough to our launch point.

If you feel so inspired, after our paddle you can choose to explore the Hoquarton Interpretive Trail by foot, which begins from our take out park.

Expect rain and some wind. Dress appropriately.
