Activity Title:: The Sunny Narrows L2
Date of Activity:: 6/12/2026
Narrative:: Come join a leisurely (mentored) paddle upstream into the Willamette Narrows, a beautiful and forested part of the Willamette River in the Portland metro area. The paddle will take us up the Narrows to a lunch spot on a beach on Rock Island where we may see interesting waterfowl. If time and winds cooperate, we may go upriver to Willow Island before returning to the put in (7 miles round trip). We will depart from the Kayak Launch at Willamette Park in West Linn. The forecast is sunny with temperatures in the 70s and light winds of 4 knots. Winds will be from the north so we may modify our turnaround point to allow time and energy to return to the cars.
