Full Name:: Mark Niemann-Ross
Narrative:: Nehalem bay features several areas for crabbing and clamming. We'll spend the day learning about catching crab - both with traps and with hand-picking. We'll also see if there are any clams to be had in some of the mud flats. If we're lucky, we'll be the talk of the potluck that evening!

If you wish to just observe, you won't need a license. If you want to actually catch crab and clams, you'll need to buy a permit from ODFW which can be done the night before by cell phone/internet.
