Narrative:: Explore the islands off of Aldrich Point in the Lower Columbia River. We will paddle a circuit around many of the low islands of the Lewis and Clark National Wildlife Refuge and the Julia Butler Hansen Refuge for the Columbian White Tail Deer. Starting from Aldrich Point, we will do a clockwise route around Tronson, Woody, Grassy, Welch and Tenasillahe Islands.
The expected distance is about 14 nautical miles (16 statute miles), and conditions on the river could be L3, depending on the wind.
Launching at 9am, I expect to be back at Aldrich Point by around 3:30pm.
