Full Name::
Joe Howell
Narrative::
Join Dennis Pennell and me on Wednesday for a pleasant fall paddle out of Rogers Landing in Newberg. We will go upriver, behind Ash Island, with the intent to reach the mouth of the Yamhill before crossing to the east side of the river for a lunch stop.
We should see some nice fall colors, some heron, maybe even Sasquatch striding along the high bank on the west side of the river on our way up.
Air temps should be about 50 when we launch, warming into the mid to high 50's, with water temp about 55 degrees, so dress accordingly. You might also consider bringing a warm beverage for the lunch stop in case you get a little cool during the break. I'll be in a drysuit, myself.
