Full Name: Denise Harrington Narrative: We will meet at Indian Beach, discuss the forecast, assess conditions, and share best practices for launching into the surf zone. If the swell is low we'll explore rocky shorelines north to Tillamook Head and back. If we have medium conditions, we will play in the soup zone, hoping for some rolls and self-rescues. If you swim, you get a sticker. A Short Sands paddle (includes lengthy roll/walk to beach) is a Plan B. This is intended to be no more than a level three trip. The conditions listed are the possible conditions to expect for a coast paddle. As it is impossible to gauge the conditions of the day until that day and up until the decision to launch is made. This is a fun opportunity for folks who are beginning their coastal paddle experience, and want to improve their beach launch skills, or want to assist others in that process.
Denise is looking for a CPR/FirstAid Current participant. Reach out to her if you are current in your training and want to go on this paddle trip.
