Full Name:
Paula Brottman
Narrative:
Start your week off right with a leisurely morning paddle from Cedaroaks Boat Launch to Goat Island. This is a short paddle, around 4 miles, and we'll have a slight tidal assist on the return. Goat island sits where the Clackamas and Willamette rivers meet and is home to heron rookeries. We'll circumnavigate the island and stop at one of the beaches for lunch/snack.
Please arrive by 8:45 and be water-ready at 9:30 a.m. Water temperature is likely to reach 68-70F. Air temperature will be in the 80's. No immersion wear is required Participants should check their email the day before the trip for any changes in weather.
Paddlers should expect to stay with the pod. Canoes with flotation and kayaks 12’ and longer are welcome. No inflatables, please.
