Full Name: Jon Light-Powell
Narrative: This Wednesday was a conflict with the OOPS Monthly Meeting, So I moved it to Thursday and adjusted the name. But please come for a nice L1 paddle around Ross Island with the opportunity to practice some rescues. Don't want to get wet? You can rescue your TO !!

We will meet at WIllamette Park in Portland by the boat ramp at 3:00. We will have our brief but effective safety talk at 3:30 and then head out for a friendly club paddle.

We will circumnavigate Ross Island counter clockwise and be on the lookout for Eagle, Heron, and perhaps even Deer. We will stop at the North point of Ross Island for a break for snacks and Agate Hunting. Someplace around Toe Island we will have an opportunity for some safe water rescue practice.

The water temperature is 65 degrees so I am not requiring any immersion gear, though if you want to get in the water you might want a shorty wet suit or something of that ilk.

I am Actively Seeking a Co-TO to increase trip size (Paige is out of town).

If you are in need of getting your Wet Exit Certification (WEC), contact Jon directly. This paddle may be a good chance for that.
