Hello OOPSters! Are you ready to play in the current? This class provides an opportunity to dabble in the current near Willamette Falls to practice eddy turns and rescues in fast moving water. This is a Level 2 class and provides an opportunity to challenge yourself where you feel most comfortable. Are you relatively new to rescues and paddling in faster moving water? Great, we'll let you ease into the experience at your comfort level. Are you wanting to get a nice paddling workout? Wonderful, you can challenge yourself in stronger current if that's your desire.
The goal of the class is to help you build on your existing skills and self-confidence while paddling in river current.

Instructor and TO's: Peggy Liggit Instructor, and Wendy Lou, Mark Niemann-Ross and Sara Spink are the TO/Safety people.
Meeting Place and Time: We will meet at 5:30 pm at Sportcraft Landing Moorages (1701 Clackamette Dr, Oregon City, OR 97045). Parking is free and there is a pit toilet in the parking lot. We launch promptly at 6:00 pm and plan to be off the river by 8:30 pm.
Required Gear - This is a Level 2 paddle in current. Water temperature is in the low 60's.
Conditions: Spring evening air temperature high 70's, water temperature low 60's,
current 1-4 kts (depending on your entry point at the falls), tide from Morrison Bridge Station (H 1.92 ft 7:28 pm; L 0.92 ft 1:59 am).
