Activity Title: Cedar oak to Elk Rock
Date of Activity: 5/17/2025
Narrative: Meeting at Cedar Oak boat launch in West Linn. We will stage our boats and hold our safety meeting. We will head downstream with the current assist. Water flows should not be an issue on this paddle. We will warm up and enjoy the morning paddling to Rogers Park. If the water level will allow we might be able to go up Sucker Creek. We can take a short break here if any one needs to use a bathroom. We can stop here on the way back as well. Proceeding to Elk Rock and exploring around the cliffs on the west side of the river, we might see the peregrine falcons. I have seen bald eagles, beavers, otters, turtles and a host of wildlife on this paddle. We will have lunch and head back to our launch site. There are many eddies and soft water spots to aid us on the paddle back upstream. Nice mellow, relaxing 8-10 mile paddle.
