Narrative: Please join Jon Powell and me for a paddle up the Willamette River Tuesday, Jan 28th. Weather is predicted to be sunny with a high of 45° and very light wind. Water temp is 40° so layer up under your drysuit. We'll launch from Willamette Park in Portland and paddle upriver to Geo. Rogers Park in Lake Oswego. Along the way, we'll pass a few parks, floating homes, a country club and Elk Rock Island before reaching our destination in L.O. Once there, we'll break for refreshments where restrooms and tables are available. From there we'll head back downstream to our launch site. Total distance will be approximately 8 miles. Parking is $1 per hour using Parking Kitty or $6 for 6 hours. Restrooms available at the launch.
