Full Name:
Jerry Stole
Narrative:
We will park and launch at the Camp C boat ramp. The plan is to head south, paddling along the shoreline and then head along the Scoggins dam on the lakes south end. We will next head up the eastern shore stopping for lunch at the Eagle Point rest area. After lunch we continue wandering into coves and inlets. We will not do a full circumnavigation of the lake, instead we will head back to the launch site after exiting Tanner Creek cove.
This is winter, it will be cold. You must have a dry suit and I strongly encourage lots of warm clothing and warm drinks/food for breaks/lunch. Pace will not be slow, but it will not be fast either.
Being an open lake, if the wind is an issue, we will hug the shoreline and reduce the distance traveled.
Please come early enough that you will be ready to paddle at the 9:30 shore talk. After the talk, we will have one last bathroom break and get on the water as soon as possible.
