Full Name: Greg Lamberg
Narrative: We'll meet at the Sauvie Island Boat Ramp and head upstream towards the St John's Bridge. We'll go under the Saint John's bridge and then a little further under the Burlington Northern Railroad bridge just to check it out. This will be our turn around point (about 7 statute miles) and we'll head back to Cathedral park where will will stop for a lunch and bio break. After lunch we'll paddle downstream back to The Sauvie Island Boat Ramp.

You should have a properly outfitted sea kayak at least 14 feet in length and be able to keep a 3 - 3.5 mph pace for just over 4 hours.

I expect it to be cold, so make sure you layer up under the drysuit (mandatory) and bring gloves, pogies, etc. Hand warmers are GOOD and Heated Socks are GOODER! You may want another layer for the lunch break. A hot beverage is highly recommended. Tow ropes and radios are always encouraged!

NOTE: This a L2 Rated Trip with an L3 distance. Be prepared to paddle.
