Full Name: Jon Powell
Narrative: Come Join Jon for a fun paddle in the Willamette River. The river is running at a fun speed for downtown and the sun is going to be out.
I propose we paddle from Willamette park out to Toe Island, where we have some fun playing in the light currents around the island. We will then proceed to the tip of Ross Island where we will stop for a snack and to do some light trash pick up (nothing big). I may bring my new Svea stove and make hot water for Tea. How Exciting !!
Afterwards, we will continue on around Ross Island.

This is meant as a easy paddle with opportunities for playing in some unusual but not difficult conditions.

It should be a nice day, but the river is cold. Wear Dry Suit and warm clothes underneath. Bring a snack. If you want to partake of my hot water for tea (and if the stove works) bring a mug.  if you want to pick up trash with me, you may want to bring some gloves.
