Narrative:

Start your new year on the river by joining Joe Howell and me for a paddle trip down the Willamette River on New Year's Day. We'll paddle from Roger's Landing in Newberg downstream for approximately 12 miles to the Boones Ferry Marina in Wilsonville. Since it's a one-way trip, we'll set up a shuttle and leave most cars at the takeout in Wilsonville. There is an $8 parking fee in Wilsonville. There is also a $3 fee for parking at Newberg which would not apply to the cars moving down to Wilsonville. Once back in Newberg, we'll get on the water and follow the currents downstream. Paddlers should be familiar with currents moving at 2 knots (2.3 mph) for some of this level 2 trip. These mild currents will provide a welcome assist for our journey downstream. Restrooms are available at Roger's Landing. I believe porta-potties are located at Wilsonville.

Size of paddle may dictate multiple pods per OOPS trip size policy. To be decided by head TO at time of trip.
