Full Name: Brian Stewart
Narrative: Let's take advantage of the tide - no portage expected! Starting at the Ridgefield kayak boat launch, we'll take Lake River to the slough (turning left) and then go clockwise around Bachelor Island. It will be fun to spot birds during their fall migration and check out the whimsical bird houses on Lake River. We’ll be paddling 10-11 miles. Expect a bit of drizzle - so plan for appropriate layers and whatever makes you feel warm for lunch. This is Brian Stewart's third mentored paddle - thank you to Brenda Brewer for mentoring on this one!

Logistics:
Free off road parking is available near the launch.
There is a restroom at the motor boat launch - take advantage on your way in or it's just a couple of minute walk from the kayak launch.
Let's wear drysuits and spray skirts on our paddle.
Recommend to dress warmly - layers work great.
Bring water, snacks, and lunch. Got a thermos? Consider bringing a hot beverage or soup.
