Full Name:
Sara Spink
Narrative:
Do you need a short break from the hustle and bustle of the season? Join Sara for a relatively short paddle around Ross Island on Sunday afternoon. It will be chilly, in the mid 40s, but we are expecting a break in the rain. We will meet at Willamette Park in Portland at Noon, aiming to launch by 12:30. We will head towards downtown on the East side of Ross Island. If the group is feeling it, we will paddle up to take a look at the USS Blueback at OMSI before turning around. If possible, we will land on the north point of Ross Island for a snack and (water level permitting) take a moment to look for agates.
We will head back along the West bank of Ross Island and return to Willamette park.
Due to air and water temps, Drysuits are required. It is recommended to bring a warm drink and a snack.
