Full Name:
Greg Lamberg
Narrative:
Come work off some of that Thanksgiving feast with a great bunch of OOPSters on Greg Lamberg’s First Mentor Paddle! We will launch from Willamette Park, Portland. Don’t forget to pay for parking and there are restrooms there. After a safety talk and a review of the paddle plan, we’ll head out. We’ll cross the Willamette (staying together as a group) and do a CCW circumnavigation of Ross Island. After Circumnavigating Ross Island, we will head up stream paddling under the Sellwood Bridge and past the Waverly Golf Club. From there we will continue up past the Milwaukee boat launch and stop at the beach at Elk Rock for lunch. This is a great time to pull a thermos with a hot beverage out of you day hatch! After lunch well paddle back to Willamette Park. Upon landing back at Willamette park, we will have paddled between 10-11 statute miles.
