Full Name: Kerry Smith
Narrative: Join Kerry for his third mentored paddle. This will be a scenic kayak trip in the lower Columbia River. Starting at the Longview WA, Willow Grove Park boat launch, we will paddle across the Columbia River to Crims Island. Once across the river we will paddle downstream on the north shore of Crims Island. There are many sandy beaches with great views along the island shore. We will have a lunch stop one on these beaches. The plan also includes exploring a small inlet in the island. Exploring the slough will add 2.4NM to the 7.8NM trip. We will then resume the circumnavigation of Crims Island on the south side of the island. Finishing the circumnavigation of Crims Island we wil recross the Columbia River back to Willow Grove Park boat launch.
