Narrative:
L1, Scappoose Bay /Next Adventure to Scappoose Creek & Scappoose Bay
Date of Activity: 10-12-2024
Enjoy a slow leisurely paddle at Scappoose Bay. LEVEL 1. This Saturday is forecast to be a very pleasant fall day. Starting at Scappoose Bay / Next Adventure. The tide is favorable, pushing us up into the bay. During our time on the water, the tide will always be rising. This will be a wondering and exploring trip. We will be in shallow water, channels & a creek. After paddling up into the bay a short distance. We will enter Scappoose Creek. Since the tide will be coming in, we will be pushed up Scappoose Creek. This is a kind of fun experience. We will travel up the creek as far as physically possible & the groups commitment to explore, dogging & weaving trees & branches. Once we have had enough of Scappoose Creek, we will then head back out to the bay. Continuing on, we will explore up into the bay as far as the water level will permit. Find a place for lunch. Then head back to our launch site. +
Plan on bringing a lunch, sunscreen, sunglasses, & a hat. Dress for the water temperature.
Please understand that the water temperature is 54 degrees.
If I can get a CO TO, we can expand the group size a little. However, not by too much. It would be tough to get many more boats in the tight spots we will be exploring.
