Full Name: Kerry Smith
Narrative: Please join Kerry Smith on his second mentored paddle. This is a wonderful kayak trip in Lake Merwin. Starting at the Speelyai Bay Park boat launch we will paddle east along the North Shore of Lake Merwin and cross over Cresap Bay to the winding narrowing upper lake channel to the outlet of Canyon Creek. The fall colors should be brilliant and the water temperature will still be mild, and please wear appropriate immersion wear - either a full wet suit or dry suit. Depending on the amount of recent rain there are usually many fantastic waterfalls along the upper lake channel. There is large sandy beach 1/2 mile before reaching Canyon Creek for a lunch break. This is a Level 2 paddle, so you are required to wear a sprayskirt.
