Activity Title: Kayak Camping trip to Willapa Bay (or other suitable location, weather dependant.)
Date of Activity: 10/21/2024
Narrative: Please read the full description before signing up for this trip. Put your newly acquired kayak camping skills to use on this fun L2 trip hopefully to Willapa Bay. We will pack our kayaks and launch from the South end of Willapa Bay, rain or shine. Then paddle to Smokey Hollow where we will camp. The following day you can hike to the old growth cedar grove, or take a walk north along a logging road to Paradise Point. There will be the opportunity to learn about setting up tarps (thanks to us learning from Mike Cenedella a few years ago!), and a bear hang. On the 23rd we will repack our kayaks and retrace our route back to the put in. Priority for this trip goes to people who have taken the workshop and are new to kayak camping. Registrants will be wait listed.
Each car must have a valid Washington Discover Pass. Get this online ahead of time.
