Full Name:
Joe Howell
Narrative:
Join Dave Smith and myself for a Monday paddle out of West Linn Willamette Park. We will paddle up the slot on the far west side, possibly going to the south end of Willow Island for a snack/lunch break. After refueling, we will cross to the east side and make our way down river toward the Narrows. The water level is currently about 56 feet, so the Narrows may have a lot of exposed rocks. We'll see how many spots we can get into and explore, given the low water levels. If people have any interest, we can practice rescues, either in the Narrows or in deeper water. Be sure to bring water, food, and sunscreen, and dress for water temps around 60-61 degrees. Please arrive as early as you need to in order to be ON the water by 10 a.m. If you want to try a rescue in the narrows, please bring your helmet.
