This is one of three paddling trips in the area of Port Angeles and Sequim on the northern Olympic Peninsula. The Trip Organizer and Co-Organizer will not be arranging lodging, camping, or meals for participants.

Full Name: Dennis Pennell

Narrative: This is Day #3 of a three-day trip. This is a clear, cold, deep, glacially carved freshwater lake. Consider this an opportunity to rinse the salt off our boats and gear from the two previous days of salty paddling.

Meet at 10:00 AM at the Storm King Ranger Station Boat Launch: 48.058444, -123.787646.
This is also called the Barnes Point Area. We will launch adjacent to the Lake Crescent Pier. See map link below.

Intent is to explore the west side of Lake Crescent primarily along the north shoreline, starting from Storm King and heading west to Fairholme Campground. We will have a shore break at Fairholme Campground. Note that the campground will be closed for the winter, so the restrooms will likely be locked.

Return to the launch point when ready.

Also note that the Storm King Ranger Station area is very near the trailhead for the trails to Marymere Falls and Storm King Mountain. You can research those on your own if you are interested.
In addition, the Olympic Discovery Trail (https://olympicdiscoverytrail.org/) runs along the north shore of Lake Crescent. This is an excellent hiking and biking trail route that goes from Port Townsend in the east to La Push on the west coast of the Olympic Pennisula.

About a 13-statute mile trip from Storm King to Fairholme and back.
