Full Name:
Steve Blackwood
Narrative:
This is an opportunity to build on your kayaking skills. We will meet at the Sportcraft Landing Boat ramp under the 205 bridge and paddle across the Willamette River to some clean water where we will practice Rescues. We will also do some rolling practice. If you are working on a roll this is the place for you. Bring a dive mask if you have one. nose plugs if you have nothing else. We dan assist one another by pairing up and spotting each other.
We will then paddle up to the falls where we will paddle into currents. This is challenge by choice. You can decide how much you want to do. As always, I encourage everyone to press their comfort level and do something that challenges them.
After some paddling you are invited to join us for lunch at the River Shore Bar and Grill overlooking the river

A helmet is required. I suggest nose plugs and a diving mask if you are working on a roll.
