Narrative: We'll launch from Deer Harbor, paddle southwest out of the harbor to Steep Point. From there we'll make a short crossing (less than 1 mile) of Spring Passage before landing on the southern shore of Jones Island State Park. This is a popular destination for kayakers on the southern end of the island and larger water craft at the northern end. Once there we can lunch and hike the trails around this small island to enjoy the scenic views. We will then continue to circumnavigate Jones Island or return directly back to Deer Harbor depending on the interest of the group. Total distance will be approximately 7 miles with the circumnavigation of Jones Island.
