Full Name: Mel Wishan
Narrative: Join me for a casual paddle up a beautiful section of the Willamette River. I am looking for a Co-TO to join, so we can expand to 10 paddlers.
We will paddle from the put-in past the Canby Ferry up river for about 2 miles to the confluence of the Molalla river which is a whitewater adventure during the rainy season. At this time of year, the current at the confluence is variable from 1 to 2 kts. We will paddle up the river as long as it is navigable and comfortable. There are a lot of "things" to see dependent upon what happened during the rainy season. In the event that we are unable to enjoy this part of the trip, we will paddle further up the Willamette. It is suburban and serene in this area.
Please note, it is forecasted for HOT air temps. We might even elect to do some swimming in the shallows around the beaches at the confluence.
