Narrative: Come join Jon and Peggy for a classic circumnavigation of Bachelor Island on the Columbia River. This is a medium length but not difficult paddle with many opportunities for wildlife viewing.
Starting at Ridgefield Kayak Launch ramp, we will be going downstream on the Columbia river for a few miles in a mild current but staying clear of the 3 or 4 wing dams on that part of the river.
Though parts of the paddle have poor shore access, there are several good beaches that will supply ample opportunity for rest and water. We will stop for lunch at some exotic beach. From there we will ride the tide and the wind back up Lake River to our cars.
Please bring a lunch and water.
The day may be a little cool with perhaps a shower and the Columbia river is still cold so we will wear full wet suits or dry suits.

I expect us to be off the water by 3:00

WEC,Spray skirt, and Immersion gear required for this Level 2 paddle.
