Narrative: Our plan is to launch from the campground and circumnavigate Russell Island located on the southern tip of Salt Spring Island. It is a popular destination for boaters during summer months. If we're lucky we may see some river otters, seals and mink near the shoreline. Once there, we'll lunch before heading back to Ruckle Park. Total miles for the day will be approximately 8 miles. We will not cross any ferry routes traveling to the island.
