Leader: Joe Howell

Narrative: We'll start from Beddis Beach on the East side of Salt Spring Island. There is room for about 10 cars to park off the road. Launch will be from a nice, sandy beach. It should be a fairly eay carry to the water, but if you have them, bring your wheels, just in case. We'll travel northwest along the island for about 2 miles where we'll gather up and do the half-mile crossing to Second Sister Island and then another short crossing to Third Sister Island. Our destination for lunch will be Chocolate Beach, at the far north end of Third Sister Island. There are trails, if you want to see more of the island and we can explore the coasts of the other Sister Islands before heading back to our takeout. Total trip length will be in the 7-8 mile range. As others have mentioned, this is a very popular trip with local paddlers.
