Leader: Paula Brottman

Narrative: We'll leave from Ruckle Park group campsite, walk our boats down on wheels to the rocky shore and launch. Following the coast of Salt Spring Island south we'll make a crossing of about .5 miles to Russell Island and explore the little bays and the sandstone cliffs along the way. There are trails on Russell that are fun to explore as well as an old homestead and interpretive signs. We'll paddle back to the south shore, exploring more scenery and then return the way we came. Total distance about 9 miles.
