Leader: Bob Freshman

Narrative: We will launch from Beddis Beach on the East side of Salt Spring Island. There is parking for about 10 cars and a sandy beach to launch. Since we will be launching at high tide, the carry to the water should be fairly easy. When we launch we will travel north along the west side of the Ganges Bay. About the 2 miles mark from the launch we will cross over the bay to the Sister Islands about a ½ mile crossing to Second Sister Island and then another short crossing to Third Sister Island. Chocolate Beach is at the far north end of Third Sister Island. After taking a break Chocolate Beach, there are trails if you want to see more of the island and we can explore the coasts of the other Sister Islands before heading back to our takeout. Total trip length will be in the 7-8 mile range. We will not be crossing any ferry routes on this trip. This seems to be a very popular trip with local paddlers.
