Trip Details:
“Loreto Islands Explore” is a Level 2-3 camping trip that takes place in the scenic and wildlife-rich Loreto National Marine Park. It’s a trip designed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts who value top-quality gear and skill-appropriate adventures. Live out of your kayak, immerse yourself in a tremendous landscape, and add more skills as you go. You will return a better boater and with treasured lifetime memories and deepened friendships.

Highlights:
All SKBM’s lead guides are British Canoeing certified coaches with years of experience helping paddlers grow. They are adept at utilizing teachable moments during a trip and at integrating the learning with the journey. They can work with you on your roll or other personal goal.

Impact Positive:
Make a positive environmental/social impact by supporting an organization that provides outdoor education and life skills to local residents, enabling and encouraging them to value a healthy natural environment. Sea Kayak Baja Mexico is about connecting people and saving the planet, one paddler at a time!

Behind the Scenes:
Sea Kayak Baja Mexico is run by Ginni Callahan, a longstanding OOPS member and internationally respected coach (British Canoeing 5*, Sea Leader Provider, Sea Kayak Coach Tutor; and ACA L5 Instructor). For the past 15 years, she has been developing a community of guides and coaches in one of the world’s most beautiful winter paddling destinations, Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula.

PS: This is NOT an official OOPS trip/event but a wonderful opportunity extended by Ginni. Thanks too to OOPS member Susan Dininni who initially proposed the idea to Ginni. Susan has been on this particular trip twice and has offered to be a local (Portland) resource. She also may lead a local "overnight shake down"  for those registered.
