Narrative: This is a paddle to the Upper Deschutes Day Use Area. We'll leave from the Crooked River Day Use Area and paddle north to where the Deschutes meets the Crooked River. At that point, we'll enter the Deschutes and paddle about 2.5 miles to the Upper Day Use Area . There is nice beach at the Lower Day Use Area that we will pass. We'll have our break at one or the other of these areas. Once rested, we'll head back to our launch on the Crooked River. There are restrooms at both locations and parking is free with our campground pass. Total distance will be 8-10 miles.
