General registration opens July 18th at 9:30 pm

Skamokawa rests on the banks of the Columbia River on WA Route 4. The town includes a post office, restaurant, and general store, along with a nearby historical museum and covered bridge. It is a local center for kayaking and fishing. We'll be camping at Vista Park Campground, all reserved sites have electricity and flush toilets and showers nearby. There are yurts and a cabin if you are inclined to rent accommodations for yourself. Questions? Contact Robin.

Skamokawa provides a location for a wide range of paddling experiences in a beautiful setting and we will take full advantage of this. We will offer a wide range of trips from Level 1 paddles in quiet and protected sloughs and creeks to Level 2 and 3 trips into the many islands and beautiful shorelines of the lower Columbia River. We will also offer clinics on rescues, towing, navigation and more advanced paddling strokes during the event. Most of the trips will launch right from the campground with a few requiring short drives to the launch sites. All trips offer wonderful scenery and lots of wildlife viewing opportunities. Questions? Contact Will.

Not only will OOPSters have the opportunity for 3 days of paddling fun on the spectacular Columbia River, we will also have 3 nights of enjoying one another's company. We have a covered area reserved for our time at Vista Campground. Meetings will be held there. Thursday night's meeting will include an appetizer potluck. Friday dinner will be on your own or possibly, folks connecting to explore local restaurants. Saturday night, OOPS will host the Salmon Bake with y'all bringing a side dish, dessert, or leftover appetizer for our last group dinner. Each evening will include an overview of the next day’s trip offerings and a chance to sign up for the paddle that strikes your fancy! Other non-paddling events are likely and will be announced as plans firm up. Got a suggestion? Contact Kim
