Activity Title: Wave play at Cascade Head, L3, 6-26-22 Date of Activity: 6/26/2022 Narrative: The mouth of the Salmon River has something for everyone! Whether experienced ocean paddler to someone wanting to get more comfortable in surf. We will practice surfing (or not getting surfed, depending on your goals). If conditions are small and there is interest, we may head around the head to see the cave! We will launch from the Knight Park boat ramp, and paddle out to the mouth of the river doing warm-up exercises and a few rescue practices. We will land on the beach and spend some time on instruction/briefing before playing in the waves. When people start getting tired we will ride the incoming tide back to the boat ramp. A note on immersion wear: A full, proper fitting, wetsuit or drysuit with proper undergarments can be appropriate. Do plan on spending some time in the water and dress accordingly.
