This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification. To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group. Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment. If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip.
Narrative: Come join Jillian and me for a trip to the Willamette Falls. Since we are heading to the Falls there may be the opportunity to venture into current above the 2kt listed for the trip, a helmet will be required if you choose to do so. With the possibly high wind forecast we may need to do some strategic paddling along the route to avoid the brunt of it. We are in kayaks and can paddle near shore to obtain some shelter.
There is no formal lunch stop planned, but we will take a break so bring your cocoa or tea. After the paddle we will head to the nearby Robin Wood pub.
We may increase numbers if a qualified TO signs up.
