Registration is closed

This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification.  To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group.  Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment.  If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip.
Narrative:
We will meet at 9:00 am at the Rooster Rock boat ramp. Unload our boats and gear then we drive to Chinook Landing Marine Park. Park our cars and shuttle back to Rooster Rock State Park to launch. Once on the water we will paddle down the river with a lunch break at Gary Island, taking out at Chinook Landing Marine Park. This is a ten mile paddle and the weather and water are cold. Layering up under your dry suit is required. Paddling gloves or pogies are also advised. If you have something to keep your head warm wear it. Wind currently forecast at 10-15 mph.

There are facilities at both Rooster Rock and Chinook Landing (if open). There is a $5.00 fee at both Rooster Rock and Chinook Landing. We will go unless the wind is too high or thunder storms, other wise rain or shine.
